What's scary is how easily people can be fooled simply by presenting information out of context. Fact: Fluoride is a poison - however, at the standard fluoridation level of 1.0 ppm a child would have to drink more than 400 gallons of water in under an hour to reach the threshold of a lethal dose. Fact: Fluoride is found naturally in most drinking water supplies - even at a level greater than supplemented supplies in some areas. Check your facts doomsayers...

To mackchops Once fluoride is in the drinking water it is also in every processed food, bottled drinks, vegetables watered with fluoridated water etc 50 years ago there were no fluoride toothpastes and fluoride dental treatments. What we have now is fluoride coming at us from every angle - your overload comes from all the sources not just water - and it accumulates in the body.

Actually the highest areas of gross caries is in urban areas where water fluoridation has taken place for over 50 years.
